National Commission for Protection of Child Rights
The NCPCR ensures that all Laws, Policies, Programmes, and Administrative Mechanisms are in consonance with the Child Rights perspective as enshrined in the Constitution of India and also the UNCRC. It responds at the State, District and Block levels to touch every child to convey the ground experiences at the field to the authorities at the higher level. The Commission furthers the larger societal concern for children and their well-being.
Sarva Siksha Mission, Kolkata
Sarva Sikhsha Mission is a joint effort of central government as well as state government to implement Universalization of Elementary Education in a time bound manner. SSM mainly highlights the need of providing quality education to all children irrespective of their social, cultural, economic and educational status by 2012.
