Government schools who are lacking with basic infrastructure of education, rarely provides any other opportunities than meager text books, uniform and mid day meal. In many schools, there are no library rooms for further studies of the students. Especially for students of primary or upper-primary level, there are no adequate story books available for the students.

Hence, Smile Foundation in collaboration with Kolkata Konsultants and Sarva Shikha Mission has donated an almirah with 140 books dedicated to the students of the Chowbagha High School.

The teachers of Chowbaga Primary School have alotted a separate period for library session once in a week, where the students can read the books and also can borrow to their home. From the very beginning the school teachers are taking it seriously to orient the students on the significance of reading and attending library classes. The students are extremely elated to see the new books infront of them. They are excited to read new books which are colorful and at the same time contain many exciting images. They are more pleased to know that every Saturday; they will get the opportunity to read those books.Picture1
