The core members those who are associated with Community Action Society have been working in the development sector since a long period of time. They are working either being associated with some reputed organization or individually.
Further, Community Action Society also has a group of professionals with rich expertise in several disciplines. Brief profile of the key members of the association conceptualizing and managing the activities of Community Action Society is given below –
Mr. Partha Roy
He has over 30 years of diverse experience of working in the development sector. He has served several organizations in various senior management capacities. He has also supported and nurtured various other organizations and has significantly contributed to their development and growth. His areas of expertise include urban development issues specially Education, Protection, Livelihood, Disability and Organization Management. He has also contributed and supported various Government agencies, International and National level social development organizations as a consultant. He is a post graduate in commerce from Calcutta University, has completed his MBA from Jadavpur University and has also done his Post Graduation in Development Studies from the University of Dublin, Ireland. He was also a member of Child Welfare Committee, Howrah (Govt. of West Bengal). He has also attended various exchange programs in different European, Latin American, Asian and African countries on issues of the development sector.
Ms. Paramita Dasgupta
A Post Graduate in Social Work from Vidyasagar University has been serving social sector for more than 2 years. She has a long term eperience of working as child education and child protection issues. She has been actively working as a Programme co ordinator where she is mainly responsible to look after all education based activities of the organization.
Mr. Surajit Sengupta
Mr. Surajit has done a Diploma in Elementary Education. He is a Reflective Teacher with eight years of experience in various Government schools as Math Teacher. He has worked with different National and International level NGOs in Educational Projects. Moreover, he is committed towards helping poor but meritorious students providing them with free tuitions at personal level. He has an experience in curriculam Design and Development, Teachers Training, RTE.
Mr.Manoj Das
Mr Manoj has over 10 years of diverse experience of working in the development sector. He has served the organization in various management capacities. His areas of expertise include rural development issues especially Right to Education, Child Protection and teaching. He has also contributed and supported as a supervisor in Mid Day Meal project. He is a post graduate in Social Work and also Bengali from Calcutta University. He, as a research assistance conducted certain studies in the areas mentioned above.
